Laundry Softener
         1 gallon white vinegar
         30 drops of essential oil
Mix 30 drops of oil in a gallon of white vinegar and store.
To use:  Mix ¼ cup of vinegar mixture with ¾ cup water and add to rinse cycle.
Toothpaste
         2 Tablespoons baking soda
         2 Tablespoons coconut oil
flavor oil of your choice to taste
Blend baking soda and coconut oil together with a fork. The desired consistency is that of peanut butter. Add flavor oil of your choice to taste. I use clove oil because of its healing property for gums and tooth infections. Children will prefer other flavors. Store in a small container. Use enough to cover your toothbrush. This will not foam like prepared toothpaste, and the consistency will vary depending on the time of year
Mosquito Repellent
Combine in a 16 oz spray bottle
   15 drops lavender oil
   3-4 Tbsp vanilla extract
   ¼ Cup lemon juice
   Fill bottle with water.
Shake and ready to use.

Shampoo #1
         1/4 cup liquid castile soap
         1/4 cup water
         1 teaspoon olive oil
Mix the ingredients together and store in plastic blending bottle (Tupperware, Zyliss, etc.)
Use 1/2 to 1 teaspoon shampoo and leave on while you shower. Rinse, dry and style as you normally would. It's advised to mix small batches at first until you find the right combination for your hair. You should not need a conditioner. If you find you do, dilute prepared conditioner and use a small amount as a leave in.
Variations:
   A.   For dry hair or itchy scalp, substitute brewed black tea for the water
   B.   For oily hair, steep a couple of sprigs of fresh rosemary in boiling water and substitute it for the water
   C.  Adjust the amount of olive oil based on your hair type

All Purpose Glass Cleaner
    1 cup vinegar
    1 teaspoon dish soap
water to fill 1 quart spray bottle
Pour vinegar and dish soap in to spray bottle. Slowly add water to fill the bottle, being careful not to create suds.
Laundry Soap
         1 bar bath soap, grated
         1  Quart boiling waterA
1 cup 20 Mule Team Borax
1 cup Arm & Hammer Washing Soda
Warm water to make 5 gallons
Dissolve grated bath soap in boiling water in a 1-1/2 quart container. While the soap is dissolving, put 1 gallon of warm water in a 5 gallon bucket. Pour in the 20 Mule Team Borax and Washing Soda and mix to dissolve. Add the hot water / soap combination and stir. Fill bucket to 5 gallon capacity. Let sit overnight. You will have a soapy goup. Transfer into smaller containers if you like for easier use. This may need to be stirred occasionally, and it will be thicker in colder weather than it is in warmer weather. Use as you would a purchased laundry detergent, 1 cup for top load washer or 1/3 cup for front load washer.
